Concept                    : Leave granted to the employees specified in SR 2 under FR101(b) i.e. risk born duties

Period                      : Not exceeding 6 months in every 3 years of service

Authority                  : FR 101 (b)

Admissibility             : Only Permanent employees

Availment                 : on combination with any other leave

Effect                       : counts for increment, pension

Leave salary             : first 3 months on full pay and next 3 months on half pay

Sanctioning Authority : as delegated. 

• Temporary Government servants are not eligible.

• Applicable to all last grade employees shown under SR (2).

• Should not exceed 6 months in every 3 years of service.

• The leave salary is equal to half pay leave salary.
